Patios

At Creating Eden we lay a lot of patios in all shapes, sizes and levels. From a simple but functional concrete slab patio to the much more decorative Indian sandstone patio the key to any well laid patio is the correct preparation. Laid on a suitable sub base a patio laid on a wet mortar bed will not move or settle. Patios can greatly enhance and extend the outside living space – think of a patio as an outside room, a space to sit, relax, have a drink or meal and enjoy the garden. If a client’s budget permits I always recommend using Indian sandstone as a patio material of choice. The individual colours and finishes are unique to each stone and, in my opinion, impossible to 100% replicate with manufactured stone.
